Medicaid Administrative Claiming – Neurodevelopmental Centers 2024
Request for Applications # 2024CHS574RFA
Summary
Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) contracts with the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) to support Medicaid-related outreach, linkage, and program planning activities to Washington State residents who reside in its jurisdiction in accordance with the requirements of the approved Cost Allocation Plan (CAP), its contract with HCA, and the Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) manual.
PHSKC may make funds available to Contractors to:
- Support administrative activities (MAC activities) that assist residents who have no or inadequate medical coverage and includes explaining the benefits of the Medicaid program
- Assisting them in the Medicaid application and renewal process
- Linking them to needed Medicaid services and other approved MAC activities
- Performing program planning, policy development and interagency coordination in support of the Medicaid State Plan
PHSKC will pay its contractors for some of the costs associated with performing MAC activities, contingent on the availability of adequate local matching funds.
The goal of the project is to facilitate an opportunity for non-governmental neurodevelopmental centers in King County to participate in MAC, creating a new revenue stream for administrative services associated with supporting the Washington State Medicaid Plan.
