Wetland Delineation Report
May Creek Channel Restoration Project

May Valley Wetland Delineation Report coverThe Wetland Delineation Report for May Valley identifies the boundary of a riparian wetland that could be affected by a drainage project proposed by King County to increase stream flow and fish passage along approximately 1,500 feet of May Creek. The wetland described in this report is known as May Creek #5 in the King County Wetland Inventory (1990), located between the cities of Newcastle and Renton, Washington. This wetland is approximately 140 acres in total size, with approximately 25 acres of it within the project study area and delineated for this report.

This study was undertaken to meet permitting requirements for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology), and King County Department of Development and Environmental Services (DDES). This report was prepared by King County Department of Transportation for King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks.
