Keeping parks green and enjoyable

Keeping parks green and enjoyable

Simply put: volunteers make our parks better.

Weeding invasive plants and mulching around them are essential to helping them retain moisture in the coming dryer months and eliminate the competition for nutrients from weeds. Native trees and shrubs can use attention all year round; they follow no other schedule but that of nature.

Other volunteer projects make spaces more enjoyable for people to recreate and relax.

Sound like fun? Then consider joining an event! Register with the volunteer coordinator listed after each event below.

For questions about the Volunteer Program or to inquire about a custom volunteer event for your group, please contact Volunteer Program Manager Laurie Clinton.

Master recyclers at marymoor concerts

Now in it's fourth year, CHOMP! is a day-long celebration of local farming, food and sustainability at Marymoor Park with great music and lots of fun activities for all ages!

We are looking for composter/recycler volunteers to assist in educating festival-goers with their used composting and recyclable items, which helps us reduce waste generated by large events in our parks.

Volunteers get great swag (a CHOMP hat and t-shirt) and are entered into a drawing to win tickets to an upcoming show at the Marymoor Park Concerts .
