Redistricting determines which areas, neighborhoods and communities are grouped together into a district for purposes of electing a King County Councilmember to represent you. We need input from local communities and stakeholders as we work to redraw King County Council districts. The Committee has concluded its summer community listening sessions, town hall meetings and required public hearing. We welcome written comments on the amended final draft plan map, suggestions, and ideas. To contact the committee, email districting@kingcounty.gov or use the comment form at the bottom of this page.

The King County Districting Committee held a public hearing on November 30, 2021, in order to receive comment on the Districting Master’s draft redistricting plan. On December 1, 2021, the Committee considered the public comment and provided direction to the Districting Master to amend the draft plan in part. On December 1, 2021, the Districting Master transmitted the following Amended Draft Districting Master Plan to the Committee: Amended Final Draft Districting Master Plan. On Wednesday, December 8, 2021, to Committee adopted the Amended Final Draft Districting Master Plan. The adopted plan map will become the new King County Council District boundaries once it is transmitted to the Clerk of the Council in mid-December.
