Retirement Board for LEOFF-1 retirees
The King County Disability Retirement Board for LEOFF-1 rules on claims for reimbursement of medical expenses and applications for disability leave and retirement benefits mandated by the Washington state LEOFF-1 retirement plan.
A claim for reimbursement should be submitted to the board office no later than the second Wednesday of the month in which the claim needs to be reviewed.
LEOFF-I board meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month from 9 – 11 a.m. You may join a meeting in person in the Chinook Building, Conference Room 233 (second floor), 401 Fifth Ave., Seattle, or you can Join via Zoom.

The board's Rules, Policies and Procedures is written as a guide for implementing the mandates of Chapter 41.26 RCW. This guide is updated periodically to reflect current medical practice and legislative changes. It applies to all firefighters and law enforcement officers, active and/or retired, who are employed in unincorporated King County (unless specifically noted) and who are covered by:
