With investments by Amazon and City of Seattle, King County Metro will offer more frequent, reliable service on some of its most popular routes
This September, Amazon, the City of Seattle and King County Metro will fund increased bus service across Seattle and King County. In a new partnership with Metro, Amazon will fund 12,000 hours of increased bus service over two years on six of King County’s most traveled routes to downtown and South Lake Union. The City of Seattle will fund 20,000 additional hours annually, and Metro will add 62,000 hours.

Following a successful lawsuit against the federal government, King County now has sufficient funds to proceed with important sexual health education research. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services delivered the $1 million contract originally awarded to King County for a scientific study as part of the nationwide Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program.
