King County will be making some repairs to SE Edgewick Road. The goal is to complete repairs this summer to keep the road functional and safe for use this coming year.

Work will include pothole and square-cut patching. Without these repairs, SE Edgewick Road will deteriorate over the winter. These repairs are necessary to slow the decline of the roadway and keep sections of the road from potentially becoming impassable. Although funding for extensive roadway rehabilitation is not available, interim repairs will help keep the road safe for travel.

We will provide updates on SE Edgewick Road maintenance work through the project’s webpage and our Road Alert system. If you would like more information on the current and future funding for roads in the unincorporated area, click on the links on the right side of the webpage or call 206-477-8100 with specific questions.

Planned improvements for 2018

Beginning the summer of 2018 and continuing annually, King County will conduct safety improvements on approximately 2.7 miles of SE Edgewick Road/468th Avenue SE near North Bend, from the I-90 off ramp to the end of the maintained road.

Road improvements include

  • Pothole patching with hot mix asphalt
  • Square cut replacement of rough patches of road
  • Annual shoulder mowing

Motorists may experience occasional lane restrictions. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zones. The improvements are expected to be completed in August 2018.
