Here's how it works
- Make a commitment to reduce your drive-alone trips by:
- Sharing the ride in a carpool or vanpool
- Riding the bus, ferry or train
- Bicycling or walking
- Working from home
- Take the commitment survey.
- Once you’ve completed the survey, we will send you a welcome packet with:
- Information on how to get started.
- $100 Guaranteed Ride Home credit towards one taxi ride for qualified emergency rides home from work. Restrictions apply.
- $25 reward to help you complete your non drive-alone trips.
Am I eligible?
If you previously participated in the Just One Trip, Community In Motion or In Motion programs, you are eligible to participate again so long as you can further reduce the amount of drive-alone trips you take. If you cannot further reduce your drive-alone travel, you can participate in the Car-Light Champions program.
If you participate in this program, you will receive a reward at no charge to you and as part of a promotion. Only one reward per person and two rewards per household are allowed. Rewards are available while supplies last. To be eligible to participate, you must work or live in King County, WA and be at least 18 years or older. Reward offer lasts until March 31, 2019. King County Metro’s Just One Trip program is funded by grant and traffic mitigation funds. The Guaranteed Ride Home ($100 value) offer can only be used on basic services and not premium vehicles or ride types through May 2019.

Need an interpreter?
If you require an interpreter, please call 206-553-3000 and select the interpreter option (Press 1) from the menu when prompted. Please let the Metro representative know which language is needed. It will take a moment but an interpreter, in the requested language, will join the call. Nearly 200 languages are covered by the translation line. Please note that interpreter calls may take longer.
