Metro operates its programs without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age or disability in accordance with applicable law.

King County Title VI Policy Statement

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states:

"No person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."

Making a Title VI complaint

Any person who believes he or she has been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with King County. Any such complaint must be filed with King County within 180 days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.
