CrimeReports is an internet tool available to the public, in partnership with the King County Sheriff's and our contract cities.  Citizens can view pin maps displaying criminal activity near an address or neighborhood.

The information available on may not be representative of all crimes that occurred within the King County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction. Only specific crime categories resulting in a written report are included.

Crime categories included are:

  • Assault (without a deadly weapon)

  • Breaking and Entering

  • Drugs

  • Property Crime

  • Robbery

  • Theft

  • Theft from Vehicle

  • Theft of Vehicle

Common abbreviations used: 

  • S/L – shoplifting

  • TFA – taken from auto

  • NSC – non-specific category

  • UICD – unlawful issuance of checks and drafts

  • F/E – forced entry

  • N/F – non-forced entry

  • +250 – more than $250

  • -250 – less than $250

  • COMD – coin operated mechanical device

  • APA – auto parts and accessories

  • P/P – pick pocket

  • P/S – purse snatch

  • TFB – taken from building
