Copy and Service Fees
There is no charge for conducting research in the Archives research room or self-service microfilm area. Fees apply for copies, certifications, and other services.
Payment is required prior to providing copies and services.
For oversize or other special format copies, the King County Archives will provide you with an estimate of costs at the time an order is placed.
Archivists will determine how original records may be copied due to age and fragility. For more information on accessing archival records, please see Researching Archival Records.
Method of payment
Payment may be made by personal check, cashiers check, money order, cash (in person only), or credit/debit card (card processing company adds $2.00 fee). Checks should be made payable to the King County Treasury. Please include a return address on all correspondence.
The Archives can take requests for copies or scans of documents by email, by phone, or in person. If you have any questions, please contact us.
