Sentencing in Fatal Stabbing of Woman in Bellevue: A 32-year-old man was sentenced today to 30 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of a 37-year-old woman in Bellevue on March 31, 2015. The defendant, Song Wang, intended to rob the victim, Kittaporn Saosawatsri, and then stabbed her multiple times and set fire to her apartment. He was convicted by a jury last month on charges of Murder in the First Degree with a deadly weapon enhancement and Arson in the First Degree. Wang faced a sentence range of 22 to 30 years in prison, which included the deadly weapon enhancement. Today’s sentencing was before Judge John Chun at the King County Courthouse. The case was handled by Chief Criminal Deputy Mark Larson.
