State v. Derrick Coleman
Charges Filed in State v. Derrick Coleman: Former Seattle Seahawk Derrick Coleman was charged Friday with Vehicular Assault and Felony Hit and Run for a collision in Bellevue on October 14, 2015 that injured the driver of another vehicle. Coleman’s truck allegedly rear ended a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old man. The victim suffered a fractured collar bone when his car was flipped upside down in the collision. The defendant is scheduled for arraignment on June 16 at 8:30 a.m. in courtroom 1201 of the King County Courthouse. The case was referred to prosecutors in late January. The case has been under review and ongoing investigation. If convicted of both charges, Coleman could face a sentence range of 12 to 14 months in jail.
