Seeking people exposed to rabid bat at UW
A rabid bat was found near Husky Stadium at the University of Washington (UW) on Saturday, May 19 and at least one person was bitten. Multiple people were likely exposed to the rabid bat. If you may have had contact with the bat, seek medical care immediately.

Drug overdose deaths continue to increase
Drug and alcohol use caused the deaths of 379 King County residents in 2017—an increase from 348 in 2016—according to two new reports published today by Public Health – Seattle & King County and the University of Washington’s Alcohol and Drug Abuse Institute.
