Janus v. AFSCME decision
On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, the United States Supreme Court issued a ruling in Janus v. American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, a case involving the requirement to pay union fees. We, along with the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, are reviewing the decision to determine what, if any, impacts the decision has on our employees and collective bargaining agreements between King County and its unions.
If you have questions about your represented status, please contact your union representative. You also may contact your department's Human Resources Manager.
