King County Elections today mailed ballots to about 209,000 registered voters for the April 23 special election. The department estimates a 36 percent voter turnout rate.

This special election includes propositions from the Lake Washington School District, the Vashon-Maury Island Park and Recreation District, Public Hospital District No. 2, Woodinville Fire and Rescue, and King County Fire Protection Districts No. 27 and No. 40.

“From decisions about our schools, to making choices about our healthcare systems, this special election impacts the lives of many voters,” said Julie Wise, Director of King County Elections. “Make your voice heard and return your ballot by the April 23 deadline.”
