Murray Avenue Pump Station upgrade
Initial upgrades completed – 2007
King County protects public health and the environment by conveying and treating the region's wastewater. Many of King County's wastewater facilities are more than 40 years old and do not meet current design standards.
King County completed initial upgrades to the Murray Pump Station in 2007 when new pumps and new mechanical and electrical equipment were installed. A standby generator and odor control upgrades will be provided for the pump station by the Murray Combined Sewer Overflow Control Facility project. Additional pump repairs and upgrades will be scheduled as necessary.
The pump station is located at 7015 Beach Drive Southwest. It is an underground facility located in Lowman Beach Park . The pump station pumps wastewater to the county's regional treatment plant at West Point in Seattle.
