Friends of Marymoor Park Briefing

Purpose

King County’s Lake Hills and Northwest Lake Sammamish Sewer Upgrade Project team briefed the Friends of Marymoor Park (FOMP) at a regularly scheduled meeting. The project sewer route follows the Sammamish River Trail, down past the entrance to Marymoor Park, and into the Vuelake neighborhood. The project team provided an update on design progress that focused on details of work around Marymoor Park, construction timeline delays, and what residents can expect when construction begins.

Sammamish Waterway Condos Association Briefing

Purpose

King County’s Lake Hills and Northwest Lake Sammamish Sewer Upgrade Project team briefed the Sammamish Waterway Condos Association at the condos regularly scheduled board meetings. The project sewer route follows the Sammamish River Trail, crossing under the Sammamish River onto the condo’s property just north of Leary Way. The project team provided an update on design progress and construction timeline delays, and what residents can expect when construction begins.

Redmond Open Streets Festival tabling event

  • Learn about the project purpose and wastewater service in the project area.
  • Understand how project construction will affect travelers on nearby roadways and trails.
  • Ask questions about the project.
  • Learn about upcoming trail detours.
  • Sign up for project email updates.

Bike Everywhere Day tabling event
Date: Friday, May 19, 2023
Time: 6-10 a.m.
Location: Along the Sammamish River Trail at Dudley Carter Park and N.E. Leary Way

King County WTD outreach staff hosted a table along the active Sammamish River Trail that displayed King County trail maps, project information, rain gauges, bubbles, water bottles, KIND granola bars, and a project sign-up sheet. Outreach staff also installed project signage along the trail near Dudley Carter Park used to inform trail users about the project purpose and benefits, construction timeline, project map, and website information.

In 2019, King County started a process to acquire permits for this project from the City of Redmond. We recently submitted updated project plans to the City for their consideration. We invite you to join King County and the City of Redmond for at a virtual neighborhood meeting to get the latest information on:

  • Project schedule
  • Sammamish River Trail detours
  • Road closures and detours
  • Fish and wildlife protection

At the meeting, we will provide closed captioning and interpretation in American Sign Language, Arabic, Cantonese, Hindi, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish. We’ll also post a recording of the meeting to our website afterwards.
