King County Parks offering spacious seasonal plots for rent in community garden at North Green River Park in Kent

Summary

Spring is nearly here, and now is the time to plan for a spring and summer full of flowers and vegetables by renting a plot in a King County Parks community garden.

Story

King County Parks is accepting applications for garden plot rentals at its North Green River Park Community Garden in Kent.

With sunny acreage and more than 100 plots for rent in fertile soil, North Green River Park’s community garden is the perfect place to grow flowers and vegetables beginning in March and running through October.

The garden is located at a bend in the Green River near Central Avenue South and South 259th Street in Kent and are easily accessible from State Route 167.

Each plot measures 10 feet wide by 40 feet long, and costs $50 to rent for the season. Plots are renewable from year to year, and can be reserved by emailing MarymoorPark@KingCounty.gov, or by calling 206-477-7275.
