King County’s Solid Waste Division invites parties interested in leasing industrial space on Harbor Island in Seattle to respond to a request for information that could help develop a large-scale reuse and recycling operation. Responses are due Dec. 10.

King County is offering volunteer opportunities where people can lend a hand in reaching a 1 million tree planting goal by 2020 and in keeping the county healthy and green in the face of a changing climate. Fall is the perfect time to improve habitat, beautify landscaping, or restore damaged lands by planting native trees and shrubs.
