Summary
The BECU Movies@Marymoor outdoor cinema series at King County’s Marymoor Park kicks off its 15th season on July 10 with “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” The dog friendly events run weekly through August 28 and feature food trucks, entertainment, vendors and movies under the stars.
Story
The 15th season of BECUThe series continues on July 17 with the story of the acclaimed rock band Queen in “Bohemian Rhapsody” and featuring pre-movie entertainment by DJ Disco Vinnie. Next up is the animated sensation “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” with Cirque Cadia stilt walkers on July 24, followed by 80’s action romance in “Top Gun” on July 31 with live music by the Bach to Rock music school in Redmond.
In August, the family animated film “Incredibles 2” takes the screen with live music by The Sweet Goodbyes on Aug. 7, followed by touring musician Brian Ernst and the family baseball classic “The Sandlot” on Aug. 13, the only Tuesday showing of the series.
The Aug. 7 event is also King County’s annual GoGreen Movie Night, offering moviegoers the opportunity to learn about a variety of King County programs and services and enter a drawing for free tickets to an upcoming Marymoor Park Concert.
The final two events feature the all-time musical classic “Grease” on Thursday, Aug. 22 with pre-movie grooving by DJ Disco Vinnie, and the series finale on Aug. 28 with outdoor cinema favorite “The Princess Bride” and Cirque Cadia performers.
All BECU Movies@Marymoor events feature entertainment and food trucks including Charlie’s Buns n’ Stuff, Buddha Bruddah mixed plates, Express Mexican Kitchen, Bangkok Fry House, Oskar’s Pizza, Caramia’s Sweetie Treaties and Custom Kettle Corn.
