The symptoms of mental illness can be challenging to live with. Learning to cope with symptoms and with other problems of life will help you recover and can help prevent a relapse.
While not everyone has to cope with symptoms of mental illness, everyone does encounter some problems along the way, no matter how well they are managing their lives. Some problems are easily solved and cause very little stress. Other problems are more challenging, and can result in significant stress. When stress builds up, it can cause symptoms to worsen and can lead to a relapse.
Let your mental health worker know if you would like to add learning to better cope with problems and symptoms to your mental health recovery plan.
