Leann Krainick unanimously reappointed to the King County Agriculture Commission

Story

The Metropolitan King County Council today gave its unanimous approval to the reappointment of Leann Krainick, who resides in Council District 9, to the King County Agriculture Commission.

“Leann has been a long-time member of the agricultural community on the Enumclaw Plateau and I am very pleased that she has agreed to continue to serve the county in this important role.” said Council Vice Chair Reagan Dunn, who sponsored Krainick’s reappointment.

Ms. Krainick brings to the Commission years of experience and knowledge of ecology, commercial dairy farming, and current challenges that face the Agricultural business. She has been a resident of Council District 9 since 1999 and has served on a number of agricultural boards.

The King County Agriculture Commission consists of fifteen members that actively participate and engage in existing and proposed legislation affecting commercial agriculture. The Commission also handles land use issues, livestock regulation, and ways to promote regional agricultural efforts.

Krainick’s new term will expire on February 28, 2021.
