von Reichbauer Town Hall meeting to focus on property valuations

Summary

County Assessor Hara to join Councilmember at meeting

Story

Metropolitan King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer will host King County Assessor Lloyd Hara at a town hall meeting on Tuesday, June 18 to discuss property valuations and the services that the Department of Assessments provides to assist property owners.

Tuesday, June 18
6:00-7:30 p.m.
Todd Beamer High School—Great Room
35999 16th Avenue South Federal Way, WA

“With the current economy’s ever changing real estate values and property taxes, it is important that our local property owners understand the correlation between specific levied taxes and local real estate values in their area,” said von Reichbauer.

von Reichbauer and Assessor Hara will be joined by Neil Cook, Clerk with the King County Board of Equalization, Property Tax Supervisor Mark Thompson, and Barbara Sbisa from the County’s Tax Advisor’s Office. All will be available to field questions from south County residents and discuss how the Assessor’s Office can better serve King County taxpayers by promoting efficiency, creativity, and performance.

This town hall will be an opportunity for the residents of South King County to learn more about their property assessments and values, available exemptions, online services and the appeals process.
