King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer congratulates Pacific Raceways on a successful weekend of racing

Story

Pacific Raceways, located in Kent, WA hosted the O’ Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Northwest Nationals this past weekend. More than 100,000 race fans flocked to South King County to watch their race heroes compete.

The event was broadcast worldwide on ESPN and featured top drivers from the drag racing world.

“I want to congratulate Pacific Raceways on a great weekend which brought significant visitors to South King County said Metropolitan King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer. “More than 100,000 race fans came to South King County, stayed in our hotels, shopped in our stores, and ate in our restaurants, which in-turn brought in significant tax revenue to King County.”

Pacific Raceways holds events 300 days a year and continues to have a positive economic impact on the region.
