The committee considers and makes recommendations on transportation, including passenger ferries, regional trails and public transportation including spending plans for new revenue, if any, and fares and fare equity policies; the environment, including: salmon recovery and barriers to recovery such as culverts; resource lands, excluding agriculture; energy; water quality, including wastewater; and regional parks and open space; and growth management, including regional planning and the Comprehensive Plan.

PUBLIC NOTICE: The joint special meeting of the Regional Transit Committee and the Mobility and Environment Committee for June 17, 2020, will be held virtually. To help prevent the spread of the COVID 19 virus, the chambers will be closed and all committee members and staff will be participating in the meeting remotely. Pursuant to K.C.C. 1.24.035 A. and F., this meeting is also noticed as a meeting of the Metropolitan King County Council, whose agenda is limited to the committee business.  In this meeting only the rules and procedures applicable to committees apply and not those applicable to full council meetings. 
HOW TO PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENT: The Regional Transit Committee and the Mobility and Environment Committee value community input and look forward to hearing from you on agenda items.
The Committees will only accept public comment on items on today’s agenda that have been emailed to  If your comments are submitted before 1:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting, your comments will be distributed to the committee members and appropriate staff prior to the meeting.
