Reduce stress and improve well-being
Through a partnership with Mindfulness Northwest, King County is offering Mindfulness classes, available to all employees. The courses support and provide relevant information to employees working to reduce stress and improve well-being.
Mindfulness is the simple yet powerful ability of the mind to attend more fully to the present moment's experience. Cultivating mindfulness results in many benefits for mental and physical health, well-being, and happiness. Mindfulness works at the interface between the mind and our experience of our life.
Mindfulness offerings expanded in 2018
Based on employee input in 2017, we have expanded our offerings, not only on Mindfulness topics, but also on where, when and how you can attend! In addition to multiple opportunities to participate in classes at King County worksites across the county, we are offering a pilot opportunity for a limited number of employees to participate in community-based courses.
