West Seattle/Downtown Seattle

Seasonal service began Monday, April 5 between Seacrest Park in West Seattle and Pier 50 on the downtown Seattle waterfront.  The 2010 season ushers in a new vessel and improvements at Seacrest Dock including a wider, longer gangway to meet accessibility guidelines, new concrete floats, and a change in docking orientation, and a new fare structure and policy.

Year-round service may begin in 2010 if additional funding is identified this summer. Visit the Ferry District Web site to learn more about funding and future plans.

Bus and shuttle connections

Two free Metro DART shuttles operate between local neighborhoods and the Water Taxi. Route 773 serves West Seattle Junction. Route 775 serves the Admiral District and Alki Avenue SW. When the Water Taxi is running, you can find schedules for both of these routes on Metro Online.

Service to Seacrest Park is also provided by Route 37, which makes trips towards downtown Seattle during the morning peak period and return trips during the afternoon peak period on weekdays only. Route 37 does not run on weekends. Route 37 schedule (Metro Online).

Midday on weekdays, Route 53 provides service every 60 minutes along Alki and Harbor avenues to and from West Seattle Junction. Route 53 does not run on weekends. Route 53 schedule (Metro Online).
