Products we offer

Contract bid specifications
The King County Road Services Division's construction project bid specifications are available for purchase at King County Procurement and Contract Services.

King County GIS data DVDs
The Map and Records Center sells King County GIS data on DVDs created by the King County GIS Center. The KCGIS DVD is a standard set of data updated four times per year (January, April, July, and October). The disk includes a large subset of the GIS vector data files that are stored and maintained in "plibrary," the enterprise data warehouse that is accessible to all internal KCGIS users. The disk also includes parcel data in tabular form. More information on purchasing a King County GIS DVD.

King County Road Index maps
King County Road Index maps illustrate the network of roadways maintained by King County. The bold red numbers alongside roads in unincorporated King County represent the Road Log number used to inventory lane miles for taxation purposes. Black and white hard copies of the Road Index maps are available for purchase.

King County Road Standards
The 2007 update of King County Road Standards includes new road design and construction requirements and practices, and complies with current storm water management, environmental policies, state and federal requirements, and the County's Comprehensive Plan. Hard copies of the Road Standards are available for purchase at the Map Counter.

Free trail maps
The Map and Records Center also provides free hard copies of the King County Bicycle Map (OUT OF STOCK), Regional Trails in King County and the Pierce County Bike Map (available while supplies last).

Historic roads-related documents
In addition to the many documents available digitally from our Map Vault, the Map and Records Center maintains a physical collection of GLO field notes and copies of territorial township plat maps, topography maps, inspection books for early road projects and survey field books. Photocopies of these documents are available for purchase at the Map Counter.
