Metro hosts two meetings to discuss routing options for RapidRide E & F lines

In 2013, King County Metro Transit will be introducing two more RapidRide lines, and is looking for input to finalize the routing.

The RapidRide E Line will connect Shoreline and North Seattle neighborhoods with downtown Seattle. The F Line will serve Burien, SeaTac, Tukwila and Renton. Both will have 10 to 15-minute frequency most of the day, seven days a week.

Metro is considering routing options, and is hosting an open house meeting for each route to provide information, answer questions, and get feedback on those options and the overall route design and stop locations. The meetings will be held:

RapidRide Line E
Wednesday, Jan. 25
6-8 p.m.
Green Lake Presbyterian Church
6318 Linden Ave. N., Seattle

RapidRide Line F
Thursday, Jan. 26
6-8 p.m.
Renton City Hall
1055 S. Grady Way, Renton

RapidRide is a different type of Metro service that includes newly designed buses, shelters and signs. The distinctive red-and-yellow buses are energy efficient, low-emission hybrid vehicles with low floors and three doors for easier, faster boarding. Metro’s A Line between Tukwila and Federal Way debuted in 2010, and the B Line connecting Bellevue and Redmond rolled out in 2011. The C and D lines – serving Ballard and West Seattle – will begin this coming September.

Metro wants to hear your ideas about the E and F lines. Learn more by attending the meeting, or visiting the “Have a Say” website. You can complete a survey online, or make comments by email, or by phone 206-263-9768 (English) and 206-263-9988 (Spanish).
