Metro has shuttles, regular bus service for Bumbershoot

King County Metro Transit will operate limited-stop shuttles between Northgate and Seattle Center – as well as lots of regularly scheduled service from other areas – Saturday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Sept. 3, for the Bumbershoot music and arts festival.

The Northgate shuttle will operate every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. each day. The shuttle fare is $2.50 cash per person each way and exact change is required. No passes, transfers or ORCA cards are accepted on the shuttle. Children 5 and under ride free.

Passengers can board the Bumbershoot shuttle at Bay 5 at the Northgate Transit Center, 10200 First Ave. N.E. The shuttle will travel south on Aurora Avenue North, stopping only at the posted bus stops just south of North 105th, 85th, 76th and 46th streets before arriving on Mercer Street at Third Avenue North.

Returning north to Northgate Transit Center, the shuttle will depart from eastbound on Mercer Street at Third Avenue North and will travel via Aurora Avenue North, stopping only at North 46th, 76th and 85th streets, and on North Northgate Way just east of Aurora Avenue North.

Regular bus service to Seattle Center

In addition to the Northgate shuttle, Metro routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 13, 15, 16, 18, 24, 30 and 33 serve Seattle Center. Routes 5, 17, 26, 28 and 358 travel to within a few blocks of Seattle Center. A valid fare is required on all regular Metro service.
