Culvert project to close road in Woodinville for three weeks
Note: For updated construction schedule information, please read the Aug. 28 news release.
WOODINVILLE– King County Road Services Division is scheduled to begin a three-week culvert replacement project Aug. 29, with work completely closing a section of 176th Avenue Northeast just south of Northeast 195th Street.
During construction, traffic can instead travel on 168th Avenue Northeast to access Northeast 195th Street. Near the construction zone, flaggers also will funnel traffic on Northeast 195th Street into one lane Aug. 29 through Oct. 5.
Work includes digging a 72-foot-long trench across 176th Avenue Northeast to make room for a replacement box-style culvert. The trench will be 36 feet wide and 12 feet deep to make room for eight culvert sections, each weighing 13 tons.
By Sept. 21, crews plan to reopen 176th Avenue Northeast to traffic.
