King County hosts open house for project to build consolidated road maintenance facility near Ravensdale
The King County Road Services Division is hosting an open house to discuss its plans to build a consolidated road maintenance facility in southeast King County near Ravensdale. The open house will be held:
Tuesday, March 2 from 4-7 p.m. Black Diamond Community Center 31605 Third Ave., Black Diamond
At the open house, people can: review early design concepts; get an update on the environmental review process; and ask questions.
King County is proposing to build a new facility that would include a headquarters building, vehicle and equipment shops, and other features that support road maintenance operations. It would replace two aging facilities in Maple Valley and Black Diamond.
The proposed facility is needed to ensure that area roads continue to receive critical repairs, snow and ice removal, storm and flood response, and other vital services well into the future.
Visit the project Web site (select the construction link, then search for South Regional Maintenance Facility). For information about the meeting, call Mary Coltrane at (206) 296-3724, or email her.
