News from King County Department of Transportation Release date: Sept. 7, 2007
Closure of 276th Avenue Southeast extended
The closure of 276th Avenue Southeast in Hobart will be extended, while crews complete a culvert replacement project and repave the roadway.
The road – which is the continuation of Issaquah-Hobart Road south of State Route 18 – was originally scheduled to reopen in late August, and then extended to mid-September. But, the contractor doing the work for King County needs a second extension to complete the work. It is estimated that it will take an additional two weeks to three weeks to open the road.
Managers from the King County Road Services Division say they are working with the contractor to complete the culvert replacement as safely and quickly as possible.
