ROAD ALERT SPOTLIGHT
Brace for difficult morning commute
The King County Roads Services Division is alerting motorists tonight that significant snowfall in many areas of the county will give way to treacherous driving conditions come morning.
While road crews continue to respond to snow throughout the county this evening, one thing is clear. Tomorrow morning's commute will be extremely hazardous and difficult, especially in northeast and east-central areas of the county where snow has continued to fall much of the late afternoon and evening. Any area that has experienced significant snowfall today will see difficult travel conditions tomorrow.
More than 120 road workers will be out through the night plowing and sanding, as necessary. But the division strongly advises motorists to monitor weather reports and road conditions before they plan to travel. If conditions remain hazardous, they should consider postponing their travel if at all possible.
