Closure of 276th Avenue SE extended through Sept. 10

The closure of 276th Avenue Southeast in Hobart will be extended through Monday, Sept. 10, while crews complete a culvert replacement project.

The road – which is the continuation of Issaquah-Hobart Road south of State Route 18 – was originally scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 22. But, the contractor doing the work for King County needs more time due to unforeseen conditions at the site.

“We understand the significant impact this road closure has on the public,” said Linda Dougherty, director of the King County Road Services Division. “The county is working with the contractor to complete the culvert replacement as safely and quickly as possible.”

Signs at the project site will be updated if the completion date changes again.
