Section of Beacon Avenue South to close permanently

The King County Road Services Division will permanently close a portion of Beacon Avenue South near South 128th Street in the Campbell Hill area of Skyway on Monday April 3.

The section of Beacon Avenue South will be closed to through traffic from 64th Avenue South to South 128th Street. However, the road will remain open for residents living along the street.  Advisory signs will be installed for both north and southbound traffic to warn drivers of the revision and to regulate traffic.

The restriction is being carried out to improve traffic safety due to the narrow, steep configuration of the roadway and is supported by local residents.
