How do you travel around Ballard?

Metro Transit asking local residents to complete online travel survey

inMotionKing County Metro Transit is bringing a new program to Ballard aimed at increasing the use of transit, carpooling, bicycling and footpower at the neighborhood level.

The “In Motion” program has been a success in several other local neighborhoods, and now Metro wants to hear how it can be tailored for the Ballard community. Local residents are encouraged to complete a brief online survey. The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, April 7.

Survey results will help individualize the program's content for the Ballard community. The goal of the In Motion program is to improve communities through healthier travel choices. Using automobiles less frequently benefits the air quality and our health, and often reduces stress and saves time.

The geographic boundaries for the Ballard In Motion program are 8th Avenue Northwest, Northwest 65th Street, the Ship Canal, and the Puget Sound.

For more information about the Ballard In Motion program, contact Program Manager Carol Cooper at (206) 684-6766, or by email.
