Inside Transportation is designed to help you understand how the King County Department of Transportation serves the public and how to take advantage of the transportation options available to you. It is a presentation of the King County Department of Transportation Public Affairs Unit.

Inside Transportation airs on KCTV at the following times:

  • Sundays: 6:00 p.m.*
  • Monday: 7:00 a.m.
  • Tuesday: 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:30 p.m.*
  • Saturday: 5:30 p.m.

Metro's landmark fleet expansion announcement.

Landmark Metro fleet expansion -  King County Metro is putting its money where its mouth is. King County Executive Ron Sims announces the county's partnership with three companies to deliver up to 500 buses, most of which will be hybrid-electric.

County surplus PC's dropped off around the globe - The Global Technology Academy is made up mostly of students from Garfield High School, who refurbish used computers and deliver them to people in need across the globe. King County recently began donating to the program.

A storybook of 27 years at Boeing Field - Del Bair spent the better part of 30 years working at King County International Airport, and much of what he saw and experienced is chronicled in a meticulous notebook he kept full of pictures and notes about the people he worked with.

What goes down, must come up - The King County Roads Services Division collects about 15,000 cubic yards of soil every year off county roads. Amazingly, about 97 percent of what's collected is recyclable. It's all part of the CROW and SWAP programs.
