Inside Transportation is designed to help you understand how the King County Department of Transportation serves the public and how to take advantage of the transportation options available to you. It is a presentation of the King County Department of Transportation Public Affairs Unit.

Inside Transportation airs on KCTV at the following times:

  • Sundays: 6:00 p.m.*
  • Monday: 7:00 a.m.
  • Tuesday: 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:30 p.m.*
  • Saturday: 5:30 p.m.

'Transit Now' turns one, service expands again - As King County Metro completes its first full year with 'Transit Now' resources in place, the importance of its passing is as clear as ever. Metro's ridership broke records again in 2007.

Lending a helping snowplow - At times this winter in Skykomish, the snow has come down at a rate of one foot per day. Keeping up with road clearing and keeping people moving has been no small task for King County's Skykomish Maintenance Yard.

The Roads Division's small specialist - Not all winter weather damage is on the surface, nor in places that are safe for workers to get to. Luckily for the Road Services Division, they have a small specialist that gives them up-close views of damage in hard-to-reach places.

King County's ever-changing roads - Along with a population that's always on the rise come new schools, businesses, and houses. King County roads are ever-changing to keep up with evolving areas of the county whether it's technology like the I.T.S. system, or exchanging a traffic signal for a roundabout.
