It's part of the effort to eliminate all resource waste by 2030. A lofty goal to be sure, it's a collaboration between the Road Services and Solid Waste Divisions to recycle asphalt shingles. Every year in King County about 17,000 tons of them are generated by reroofing projects. This effort will help recycle them so they don't end up in landfills.
