Open house to detail planned wildlife crossing on Northeast Novelty Hill Road

The King County Road Services Division will hold an open house from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26 at Redmond Ridge Community Center to familiarize residents with plans to construct an elevated wildlife crossing over Northeast Novelty Road in rural King County. The safety project, located at the edge of the Redmond Watershed Preserve, will protect both motorists and local wildlife species from serious vehicle-animal collisions.

Metro planning changes to improve Route 120 speed and reliability

King County Metro Transit is planning changes for its busy Route 120 that connects Burien to downtown Seattle, and would like feedback from bus riders. With more than 7,000 boardings a day, the Route 120 is one of Metro’s 10 busiest bus routes. Metro has received a state grant to improve the speed and reliability of the route, and has several changes planned that will be rolled out in coordination with the cities of Burien.
