RapidRide A Line

Metro’s new RapidRide service made its debut in October 2010. The RapidRide A Line replaced Metro’s Route 174 along Pacific Highway S / International Blvd. between Federal Way and Tukwila, and offers twice as many bus trips as the previous service.

RapidRide service is designed to keep people moving throughout the day in this heavily used transit corridor. Learn more about RapidRide

Connecting communities

The A Line gives riders streamlined service to destinations along the route and to places where they can transfer to other buses and light rail.

At the route’s south end, the Federal Way Transit Center provides bus connections to Tacoma, Pierce County, and Auburn (including Green River Community College).

At the north end of the route, the Tukwila International Blvd. Station provides connections to Link light rail and buses that serve Burien, Tukwila, the city of SeaTac, the Duwamish area, and downtown Seattle.

The A Line has 51 stations. A station near Highline Community College provides connections to buses serving Kent, Des Moines, and Burien. The S 176th Street Station near Sea-Tac International Airport provides connections to Link light rail and buses that serve Pierce County, Auburn, Kent, and Burien.
