Magnolia residents were rewarded to reduce their driving.

In addition to the 10 Free Ride Metro tickets and a tote bag, Magnolian residents had the opportunity to earn more rewards the more they reduced their driving.

For every week they reported how they changed at least two trips from driving alone to some other travel mode, they earned a maximum of 10 points. Every 10 points accrued earned a $5 voucher. Residents chose between $5 vouchers for transit and ferry passes (CB vouchers) or for $5 vouchers for Brown Bear Car Wash, Union 76 stations, REI, YMCA and AAA (CB+ vouchers).

In addition to the 5 bucks in rewards every week for meeting the goal of reducing by 2 drive alone trips, those who recorded...

 2 trips (10 Points) in one week got an In Motion Tote bag.

 6 trips in 3 weeks (2 trips per week for 3 weeks = 30 Points) got a gift certificate or coupon from a Magnolia Premier Sponsor. Those who did this by September 4 and were entered in a prize drawing to receive 1 of 4 Orca Metro Transit Cards. 

 10 trips by September 25 (2 trips per week for 5 weeks = 50 points) were entered in a prize drawing to receive 1 of 5 shopping carts (similar to those pictured here). 

 16 trips by October 16 (2 trips per week for 8 weeks = 80 points) were entered in a prize drawing for the grand prize of a $100 gift card to Magnolia's Museum Quality Framing Store.
