The King County Transit Advisory Committee helps Metro improve transit services and programs by advising the Metro Transit staff, Metro Transit general manager, King County Executive, Metropolitan King County Council, local jurisdictions, and subarea transportation forums on transit issues and policies.

The committee is made up of 15 people who live in King County and who reflect the county's diversity. Members include residents, businesses, and other stakeholders concerned about transit service in the county. Most members are bus riders.
TAC members are appointed by the King County Executive and approved by the King County Council. Appointments are for two years.
The committee meets monthly or as needed to complete the work plan and address other issues as they arise. Meetings are held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in downtown Seattle.
