Were you Metro’s 3 billionth rider?

On Tuesday, March 31, Metro reached a major milestone.

King County Metro Transit is proud to announce that it has served 3 billion riders since 1973—a significant accomplishment for one of the leading transit agencies in the nation.

A big “thank you” to our customers who have traveled with us through the years, and to our new customers who are recognizing the value Metro adds to their lives. We truly appreciate you being on board with us and we look forward to many more years of serving your transportation needs. Check out the activities we had going on to commemorate this important achievement.

  • International District Station
