Marine Division

The Marine Division, created in 2008, manages two passenger-only water taxi routes for the King County Ferry District:

  • The West Seattle/Downtown Seattle route of the King County Water Taxi is a seasonal service that operated from April through October in 2009.  In 2010, the Marine Division will assume operations and will provide year-round service.
  • The Vashon Island/Downtown Seattle route of the King County Water Taxi provides year-round, weekday service for commuters and others. This ferry makes morning and afternoon peak-period trips only.
