Project update: As we approach mid-May, 2012, work continues in several different construction areas around the airport.
Update on Work Area 4-Phase 1 (in front of the 7777 Hangar redevelopment)(see Work Area 4, Phase 1, 251KB PDF): This construction area will be expanded to its originally planned size. As work is completed in Work Area 6A, the Main Terminal’s Gate 5 will once again become available for displaced and transient aircraft parking. Work in the expanded area should be finished by June 8.
Update on work at the Main Terminal Ramp (see Work Area 6B, 243KB PDF): Work begins in Area 6B on Wednesday, May 16.
Update on the work at Midfield Airpark (see Work Area 9, 722KB PDF): The large concrete forms which piece together to construct the large water quality vault have been assembled. Final assembly and grouting of all of the seams will continue for several more weeks.
We’d like to thank all of our airport tenants and pilots for their patience as we continue to “construct the future.”
