KOMO Newsradio interviews student Gabrielle Danielson.
Where’s Amelia? You’ve found her—at Boeing FieldNov. 2009—From now until May 2010, come to King County International Airport and view the Museum of Flight’s new exhibit, In Search of Amelia Earhart. On display are items such as newsreels and the legendary aviator’s personal belongings, clothing, and correspondence, as well as a piece of her Lockheed Electra 10E that came off when the plane was damaged in Hawaii, shortly before she and her navigator disappeared. Gabrielle Danielson is currently a student with Opportunity Skyway, an aviation-based learning program for at-risk youths that is housed at King County International Airport/Boeing Field. Danielson says she read a book about Earhart when she was young, and it has inspired her efforts to succeed at Opportunity Skyway. Danielson was interviewed at the exhibit’s opening by Kristin Hanes from KOMO Newsradio about the influence Earhart has had on her goals and dreams.
