New regulatory requirements for winter operations
The airport will purchase new snow removal equipment to meet new FAA requirements. Sept. 2009—The FAA has published a revised Advisory Circular (AC 150/5200-30C) establishing new regulatory requirements for snow removal operations. The new requirements deal with equipment, staffing, and time limits for the removal of snow and ice. The airport has rewritten its Winter Operations Manual and has embarked on a multi-year program to acquire new snow removal equipment to meet these requirements. We anticipate that the FAA will help fund the purchase of this equipment. News home
